Thanks, Jessica. You do realize that every, single comment he made would apply to legalizing polygamy too, right? They are just multiple "people in love".
I disagree. He's talking about TWO people who really love each other and want to make a commitment to each other to be with that person and only that person. We're not talking here about just doing whatever you want to make yourself happy. Gays want marriage so they can make a commitment to ONE person. Marriage has always been a union between two people and when you add plurality into you open up new issues, need to change tax and inheritance laws, etc.
Some say gay marriage changes marriage but it's still the same basic structure. Polygamy changes the entire structure of marriage.
That's why I said "multiple" people. BTW: polygamy used to be legal too. Why take away their rights? They simply love TWO people. Or, if you only want to talk about "two people" how about an adult brother marrying his adult sister?
What about bi-sexuals who simply want to marry one man AND one woman?
